I have two Me computers networked, connected to a hub and the hub is has an internet connection. I connected a third computer runnng XP. The XP system can see the other two computers, but not access them. The Me computers can see and access each other, but cannot see the XP computer. I've run the Network setup disk on all computers but nothing seems to work. I've made sure that the login Ids I'm using exist on all the computers. XP gives me a permissions message when I try to access the Me computers. The Me computers use NetBios to communicate.
Anyone have an idea (I thought XP networking was easy!)

Same problem here. We had 2 MEs networked fine, one gets upgraded to XP and what do ya know. No talking now.

I have two ME machines and one XP.
The ME machines see eachother fine.
After updating XP and running the network disk on all computers they see eachother and work fine.
Make sure the workgroup name is the same.
The server that is still running on ME also has a printer connected to it. This does work from XP but very slllllooooowwwwly. Word is very slow in gathering the document and XP is very slow in connecting to the printer (HP815C). I've tried to install an additional driver on XP to facilitate the connection to the server with no result. XP decides the driver is not digitally signed and does not install.Any ideas???

I had a similar problem, it was fixed by enabling the guest account in User Accounts in Control Panel. Try this.

Have 6 WinME computers and 1 XP machine wired into a DSL router, which also allows us to network. When the XP machine was installed, the networking functions ceased, but continued to allow the machines to surf the web. . . Any suggestions ?
