Hi, I am unable to set Win XP to use the Welcome Screen when starting my computer. It just goes straight on into Windwos. I have set "use the Logon screen" and "Fast User Swithching" to on. The funny thing is that The Welcome screen will apear if I create a new account along with my regular account. enableing the guest account has no effect. I have been able to use the welcome screen with just one account in the past. Not sure what I did... Rex

I see no need for the screen if a person is the only user. Maybe check for, and remove SpyWare. Here you will find links for detection and removal software.
