Hi,

I am unable to set Win XP to use the Welcome Screen when starting my computer. It just goes straight on into Windwos. I have set "use the Logon screen" and "Fast User Swithching" to on.

The funny thing is that The Welcome screen will apear if I create a new account along with my regular account. enableing the guest account has no effect. I have been able to use the welcome screen with just one account in the past. Not sure what I did...

Rex

I see no need for the screen if a person is the only user.

Maybe check for, and remove SpyWare.
Here
you will find links for detection and removal software.

Here is another that is at most computer stores,
including Office Depot, Office Max:
Spyware X-terminator

Also, be sure to update any software online
after installation, and every 1-2 weeks.
