XP logon to NT WINS and W2K domain

Hi experts,
I know that XP always have problem logging on to w2k server and we need to add the record in dns setting.My problem now is that i have w2k server as file server and NT server as WINS and DNS server.All the xp machine have problem logging to domain(really slow!).Other os like W2K or 98 have no problem at all.Can someone tell me what to do/add on the WINS server?

Look in the "Network Connections" applet for the current network adapter. In its Properties page, select "TCP/IP Protocol" and click Properties.

Now look through all of the tabs in that dialog for WINS Server settings. I remember seeing it recently.
