Can't logon as user or administrator. Domain name deleted and a workgroup was added. The system rebooted per compaq support so I could transfer files from my dell to my compaq. Now the XP logon screen won't let me logon as a user or administrator. Any ideas?

Did this unit ever boot properly? If so access the Boot-up Options window (F8) during the beginning of the cycle.
Select "Last Known Working Configuration" (Para-quote)
If that fails try again and select "Safe Mode". Then enter the "MSCONFIG" window and click the "Startup" tab. Uncheck anything that you may have recently installed.
