Well i just ordered a computer from www.cyberpowerpc.com and my machine is great. I got it and i installed a couple games, mostly new ones. They worked for about and hour then my games all of a sudden started to lag. Its not normal lag its more like wobbly lag sort of like its wobbling or sliding sideways. I have a FX5600 256mb video card if that helps. One of the games it lags on is BF1942 Secret Weapons of WW2 demo, and it says there is a connection problem but my internet speed is fine. Im on a router but it was working fine for the first hour i was on my comp. I did nothing to change anything to make it now work it happened when i was playing. Could this have anything todo with XP's stubborn networking system? Or what? im lost and only game i can play and enjoy it is Half-Life and mods. Can any1 PLZ???? HELP!!!??!?!?!?!

Are you playing CS, Teamfortress, Deathmatch, Day of Defeat? which mod?

Sometimes when you have other programs running in the background, it causes lag like you describe, but judging by the wobbling (flickering?) I reckon the display drivers & DirectX need upgrading, or a stable version.

Otherwise if nothing has changed on your PC since it was running fine, the problem might be server side, are you using a firwall? (if so which one?). Sometimes high pings can cause massive lag, which is down to the ISP.

Hope This Helps

My comp just came 3 days ago and it broke on the first day after about an hour. It came with ALL lastest drivers. And my internet is fine. Nothing has changed. No i dont have a firewall. May be my router but what would make it change in the middle of a game. But now ive got a bigger problem. I called tech support and he went into my BIOS and changed some stuff. Nothing so we went back and changed the DRAM Frequency. Walla no computer. An alarm went off and im getting no visual. Its nnot booting up. Ive jumped my motherboard and press insert while turning it on. Nothing now i just get a loud alarm when i turn on my comp. What help they were.
