My computer has Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and WinXP SP2 installed. For quite a long time it has been working fine. But suddenly, every few minutes the computer restarts no matter what I am doing or which program I am using. I have discovered that whatever the problem is, it has to do with the network. If I disable the network adapter or unplugg the network cable the computer won't restart. Good clue, maybe, but of course I need a working network connection. Anyone could help, pls?.

Open System Properties (right-click My Computer - Properties) Click the advanced tab and then under Startup and Recovery click Settings. In the new window under System Failure uncheck Automatically Restart. If your pc crashes again hopefully you'll get a message with more details. Also try updating the driver for your network card.

please post the EXACT error message when your PC shuts down after following response 1's suggestion
