If you still have Intel Application Accelerator on your computer, uninstall it. I had the same problem, and uninstalling IAA solved it.

I had that same problem a couple of times, and simply running chkdsk seemed to solve the problem. After that, I set the minimum pagefile size to twice what XP had it set at and the problem never reappeared.

I have a new Intel P4, 256 MB DDR and I upgraded to Winxp Pro from Home Edition. When I restart the system or when I start every time it gives me the error saying - You have either no pagefile or your memory is too low. Go and change your settings.
I ran the chkdsk /r and ran it overnight, the next day I saw the allocated size is still 0MB for the custom size. I do not know why I still get this error. Please help.

I also have this occuring problem when i run such applications as games. In mid game my game will close out with the warning at bottom right corner stating my virtual memory minimum is to low and windows is...etc..if there is any way to fix this i would appreciate someone telling me

Dell, XP pro and 256 MB RAM...
When I played DVD for the 1st time, it ran but 'Low VM' error message appeared when I shut down computer. With subsequent attempts to play DVD, the DVD cuts off and error message appears when I shut down. Before 'restoring' to earlier state, even the CD player stopped working.
Tech at Dell ran msconfig diagnostic, shifted my 384 min/768 max paging file size to 256/256, stopped running extraneous prgrams (there's not much on there to begin with), and somehow concluded it's hardware issue.
Earthlink tech had similar problems with games in his XP, and he re-installed his whole operating system and it resolved his VM issues.
He suggested I either do that, or it could be damaged memory stick or defective memory chips. Or, should I increase min/max paging files, and un-/ re-install Norton????
I'd be immensely indebted for HELP!!

Well...
I have Windows XP installed on my computer for a long time now (since the first rc edition till the final). I never had such a problem until now...
The problem started after i install both Norton Personal Firewall 2002 and Norton AntiVirus 2002.
The message usually appears when i'm logging off. Please help.

It sounds like I have the same problem as Jose. I have Windows XP and I never had the issue until after Norton 2002 antivirus and firewall were installed. The message only appears when I am logging off and it occurs right after Norton checks the A: drive before logging off??????????
