XP Installation keeps rebooting

hi i was installing a copy of xp pro on a friends computer and after selecting partitions ect...it has to reboot, now usually when it reboots it continues to install xp, i have installed xp many times no problems. as soon as it reboots it starts the whole process all over again , keeps doing it help!! thnanks

In the initial process the files are copied to the hard drive and then it reboots.
At this point you no longer want to start it from the CD so when asked if you want to start from the CD just let it be and it will start from the hard drive's files instead of the CD.
You want to keep the CD in the tray because the installation is not done with it yet.
