Xp install stalls?

I have been trying to install my XP pro cd (clean install) everytime it gets past the point of hardware checks, then in the windows setup screen, it states that windows is starting....And nothing ever happens. Any ideas?

Well you might want to check your ram! I once spent 3 weeks trying to find out what was wrong and found that it was the POS ram that I got. Go and get a new stick and change them out at the nearest store.
