OK, so I built my best machine yet. The new 800MHz FSB P4 3.02 Mhz, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and two Serial ATA 150 hard drives aranged in a Raid.
I went through the bios and set up the raid correctly....I'm sure of that.
I booted up to a windows 98 Startup floppy, used fdisk to create one partition of the two drives in the raid array, shutdown, restarted and formatted the newly found c: drive. Everything gfreat at this point!
Put my Windows XP disk in the CD rom, booted to CD rom and windows setup starts. When I get to the screen right before install, it says no hard drives were found =(
So I then went to my motherboard website (for the ASUS p4c800 deluxe, downloaded the drivers for the SATA raid and put them on a floppy. Run setup for windows again and pressed f6 to install 3rd party raid drivers. Load the drivers and XP continues to initialize installation. Then it happens again....no hard drives found =(
Anyone know what the problem could be? Do I need to install ALL the drivers for my motherboard before windows installation? If so, how? My driver cd for the motherboard is not bootable and I have no idea which files to access from the cd in dos.
I'm stuck and chomping at the bit to get this new computer up and running. Please help!

Figured it out nevermind. The motherboard driver disk had THREE drivers spread out through the disk that all had to be installed during windows setup....not very good of Asus to make me aware of this. See ya!
