Well to be honest i have two probs when i try to install xp. The first main one is i have thousands of emails in outlook express all managed in folders, that i can not loose (this is in my current O.S win 98). I tried xp a while a go and i did not loose the emails but my modem would not work so i took xp of. Anyone know how to or where to transfer the old emails in to win xp with oulook 6. I know where to copy them from in 98 allthough the same directory in xp did not exist. The second one is my monitors brightness is a little of and without gamma correction it is it hard to see images and i can not find a way to adjust the brightness or colours in xp. I have and on board pc partner video card, unfortunatly that is all i now about it. My comps specs are as follows. via 866 chip 128 mg ram on board vid and sound i think the motherboard is a pc partner. Any help or comments would be great. Thanks Andrew

If You upgrade, You will not lose any of your saved e-mail. as for the on board video, You may need to check out the mobo manufacturers site, or the vendor you bought the mobo from,for an updated driver, or invest in a video card, disable on board and install the video card.

i didn't think you where supposed to loose the emails as the first time i installed xp i did not lose any of them. But when i tried it this time none of them were there. I have no idea what happened. Any ideas from anyone would be a help. Also i would still like to know how to back up the emails and copy them into outlook express 6 in xp if i can not get it to save them automatically.
