Hi,
I'm running XP Pro using 3 monitors. I wanted to start using ICQ again and downloaded the latest version, 2002a and re-activated my account.
What I don't seem to be able to do is to move my ICQ from my main (1st) screen to my 3rd. This is where I keep Outlook Express open all the time, seems to be a sensible place to keep the two programs together.

Does anyone know a way of moving ICQ from its 'fixed' position to my 3rd screen?

My Desktop is 'extended' to all three screens and I don't have a problem moving anything else about.

Using a PIII 450Mhz 512RAM, and I love XP.

Thanks for any help,

John

I use two 19" monitors. I will tell you this, If you ever use two monitors you will not go back to just one. I use a radeon ve with dual output video card with mine. I have put together several dual setups and its simple and a nice thing to have. Sorry john I have not tried the ICQ.

Hi Joshua,

1st 15", 2nd 17", 3rd 14"

All are old ones collected over the years.

1st one is connected to the 'on board', 2 & 3 are running from an old Matrox card with 2 outputs, nothing fancy, but it works.
(Don't do games etc)

This, I think is the best 'extra' I've ever had for my computer. My hobby is Family Tree research, I use the monitors as >

1. Net connection, Netscape etc
2. As above but another search engine or anything else that take my fancy.
3. My FT Database

No more switching between different screen views and getting confused, and worst of all closing the wrong one and not being able to find it again.

Go and get another monitor, 2nd hand will do, or that old one you have in the garage doing nothing, buy a cheap card and away you go, you will never go back to just using one.

All the best

John

ps
When I make my fortune I will have 3 (you can run up to, I think 9), 19" or 21"

Hi John...

I just want to tell the people that i have the same problem you have with 3 Monitors on simple Dual-Screen...i think it must be able to switch off the maximize-side-stop on 1st monitor...but i looked for that now for more than 4 months...so i hope someone is outside there to help us...
Main Question:How can i use ICQ on a dual-screen system without maximize and stopping at the end of the first screen? I hope someone can help us...

yours Raven
