I was planning on installing xp home and I was wanting to know how the security is and if there are realy many differances between the pro version?

On a fresh install what are the essential things that need to be done to secure it ?

Thanks

As far as I know, there is no difference between Home and Pro in terms of security. Both have the same problems. To increase security in Home (or Pro), download all updates from Microsoft, enable the built-in firewall (firewall is enabled by default in Pro), and install an antivirus like McAfee or Norton.
