XP home won't stay in standby

OS: XP Home
CPU/Ram: AMD Athlon 2600+, 512

My system will go into standby, but won't stay there! It wakes up again almost immediately.
I'm on broadband and have recently changed from USB to ethernet connection.

Check your BIOs settings to set wake up events in power management options.
