XP home wont boot

CPU/Ram: 1600 athlon xp 512ram

"Windows cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupt"

\windows\system32\config\system

Just got xp home running and networked to my other pc, was all runnin smooooth, then this happened, any ideas wot i can do?

Man, you must have really pissed the MS gods off. Boot from the XP CD and run a install/ repair.Hope your luck gets better. Rgds.

It really sounds like yur hard drive is totally f#@ked.

You were gonna try a new one today i seem to remember? let me know how u got on.
