If you didn't spend so much time playing games, you'd be able to get a job and buy your own software.

Yes I have got a job which pays big money haha, I am only downloading it as its there to download, what is the point in buying it when its there to download, if you bought it instead of downloading it you must be mad, by the way I did buy this Home Edition.

And we wonder why Microsoft has to put all this security in their OS's.

You won't get any help from anyone here Richard.

Hi Richard and Bryan,

Richard might get some help and it might not be a bad thing either.

What might be bad is if no one tells him that the "free" pirate version has been identified by micorsoft and bunks out if one tries to install service pack one.
If you don't maintian the upgrades or seek out the security fixes that bypass the upgrade you will find your "free" windows shut down and possibly locked out of all your files.

HAving said that - you get what you pay for - what is wrong with the home edition anyway? - if oyu just want to see if oyu can do it as a hobby go for it but don;t plan on using it for any computing and or storage that you do not want to lose.

Good luck

Yep, go ahead and download the cracked version of Win XP and have fun because very soon you will HAVE to download SP 1 and you won't be able to, at all, now or ever AND
ALL future updates to Win XP will REQUIRE that SP 1 be installed on your PC...so you're out of luck. Every hole and security leak that is discovered hence, you WILL NOT be able to patch your Win XP version, and the hackers will love it.
Good luck!
