XP Home vs. XP Pro

I'm preparing to buy a new computer and have the choice of XP Pro or Home.
I've read a few posts here that say XP Home sucks.
Why? If Pro is same as Home except it has some extras useful mainly for businesses and networking, then how could it be that much better than Home?
Could you please give more details about why Pro is better than Home even for a home user/small business?

XP Home is the same operating system, just missing extras. Things like it is missing the remote desktop. If you're networking, go with Pro definitely. If the prices are close, go with Pro anyway, if not Home will do you just fine.

I have had XP Home on my system since October 27th and can find no reason to say that it "sucks" It is rock stable and offers nearly the same features as Pro. If you are business oriented, have a dual processor, are into networking, or wish to have remote utilization of the computer, then by all means go Pro. If, on the other hand, you are planning on using this system at home for personal use, have one processor (all that anyone needs today), don't have computers networked all over your abode, and only have one monitor (plenty for most of us) than XP Home will serve you fine. I arrange music, do custom art graphics, and generally utilize the capacity of this operating system. It is rock stable (has yet to crash) and is worth every cent I've paid for the program. Feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.

Forget "business oriented" and "into networking" - simply, if you use a computer at work, get PRO.
