Do you know if Windows XP home and XP Pro Setup CD have exactly the same ISO Boot Image (usually 1.44MB) , and only differs in terms of setup program?
How do I extract that image from CD? Cuz unfortunately I only have the windows setup files preloaded on my laptop and does not have the boot image. I was hoping to create a windows setup CD for backup purposes

I'm surprised your laptop didn't come with the CD also, or a recovery CD. I don't think there is a way to take the files that are preloaded and make a CD or take the Windows XP Home/Pro Cd and make a backup other than copying the CD itself.
The windows xp home or pro Cd is bootable and you can install from either. Why not call Microsoft and see what they say?
