Does anyone know how to eastablish a Xp home networking with 2 home computers? Is there any tutotrial around the web you can show me? thanks

Yo thats not my e-mail its "adam is the ruler @ msn.com" , i hate SPAM BOTS..
(^^no spaces)XP should automatically know how to do this, my friend who knows a crap load about networking did it with all his XP PC's and it worked fine, i'll be making a network too when the extra network cards come it. I saw him do it, it looks as easy as plugging it in and running the network setup wizard. Hey, if you just want to share then net and play games, scre\/\/ the windows way and go to www.analogX.com , get PROXY, it shares the net and is easy, AND FREE...
PS. Linux S(_)C|<§

It's actually quite easy with the networking wizard. go to control panel\network and internet connection. and choose the kind of network you want to set up.
However, there's one thing confusing. I have set up networking my 2 computers. the host one will popup internet connection automatically when the guest one established a connection. Is there anyone has ideas how to have each one pc connect to internet without affecting the other one?

damn does your friend live anywhere near nj i need someone to help me with networking i tried installing a belkin router i ended up having to fdisk and format my comp because the computer would not allow me to enter any webbased emails strange yahoo, hotmail, juno mailbox was just overflowing with spam i got win98 and xp home should i get xp pro

you need two network cards, and a cross over cable, install the cards, connect the cable and run the networking wizard on both computers.
enable internet connection sharing only on the nic that is directly connected to the internet.

I don't find Windows XP home networking too easy. I connected my two pc through network cards(10/100) and cabels, ran the network wizard on both pc, but I'm only abel to look into the oter pc now and then. And most times I try, the pc freeze. Multiplayer games via IPX works perfect.
Is a hub og network switch the solution ???

ok i need a link to purchase the x-over cable i've been doing a search for it but can only find articles on how to set it up,

go to Thompson Computer Whse--www.tcwo.com--

I love this company, been dealing with them for years...built several computers with equipment from their site...really good people to deal with...
