I am trying to get XP home networking working on my Gateway Desktop and my HP laptop via a wireless network. I have run the wizard multiple times on both machines. They both see the other computer in workgroup computers and the Desktop can access the default shared folder on the Laptop. The problem is that the Laptop cannot access the Desktop Shared folder. I get the following error message on the Laptop when I double-click the Desktop icon: "\\Destop is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission."
Both have the firewall turned off and only have Owner accounts on them. Both are current on versions of XP. I have checked settings on both and they are identical. Any ideas - I am lost!

Thanks Chuck 2, But it is not a network connection issue - both can see each other and the Desktop can get into the Laptops' shared folder. I think it is a permissions/access issue. Both also can ping each others IP addr and Name.
