How do you configure a windows xp Home edition desktop computer system to join a windows 2000 Active directory Domain structure.

You cannot. You need XP Professional for that. XP Home is peer to peer only.

That's not strictly true. I read somewhere that you can tweak XP Home to join a domain. I can't remember where I read how to do this - could have been www.annoyances.org
