Hello there,
I have searched and searched... In help-files... on the net...
I have two PC's set up. One has XP Home, the other one XP Pro. They are both connected to a router. Both have internet-access over this router (TCP/IP, works great) and both using NETBUI for file and printersharing (doesn't work that well).
From the XP Home PC I can see everything there is to see on the XP Pro one... WORKS GREAT!
From the XP Pro one, when I try to access the XP Home PC I get this: "PC ??? is not accessible. You don't have the right permissions... and so on ... contact network-amin...and so on... access denied"
I have no idea why I don't have these 'permissions',... XP Home only supports simple filesharing doesn't it??!!! it's all or nothing...Anyway... Any suggestion would be very appreciated!!
Thanx!
XP Home and XP Pro put together... what a mess...

where exactly are you tryin to access
if its program files, windows files or my documents then you wont have access
try creating a folder in XP Homes C: directory and see if you can access that
remember to share the folder as well

1. Both pc's must be in the same workgroup.
2. You must have the same username and password on both pc's.
3. You have to be sharing something. Right click a folder and select Sharing...
4. You dont need Netbui, just use XP's default protocols (Client for MS Networks, File and Printer Sharing, QOS, TCP/IP)
5. Check XP's firewall (ICF) is disabled.
