Hi,
I have a dell latitude laptop that hangs on 'Saving Your Settings' when logged into the network. When I log in locally as the administrator it works fine. I have checked his network profile and that seems all ok so I'm thinking its a local problem. Network is Novell 4. Any ideas?

Might want to check how you have the user privledges set. You may have something set so that a user cannot save the settings, and it may be causing it to hang.

Do you have the correct version of Novell Client installed? I know that Novell created a new version specifically for Windows XP

Depending upon what you are using novell for you may think about removing the client from you XP machine and using the built in client for netware that is like the client for micrsoft. The Novell client seems to have issues with XP and speed. This is only a good idea if all you use Novell for is file storage and printing.
