My windows xp hangs on the "Saving you settings" section (every time i shut down the computer)I thinks for some reason that's my USB (1) modem (alle 130) doing this. What can I do? I'm dispirited… I checked every site I can and I didn’t found any solution.

One thing you could try is to right click the connection icon in your task bar and exit the connection before shutting down. This will tell you is it is the modem or not ??
