Having troubles with Windows XP startup, it hangs at the Microsoft Windows XP Professional black start page. The comp. used to bootup in like 20-30 seconds, now it is taking like 2 minutes. Recently had serious issues between Xp and Microsoft Office XP, osa.exe caused huge crash but I was able to recover. Now XP is just hanging, also, while i am using the PC the mouse arrow is VERY jerky, it stutters and stalls while moving across the screen in any direction. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When you go into windows go to run> and type msconfig click the startup tab and unselect everything and see if it fixes the problem i would try this first, it might be a program(s) or many many to many programs booting up slowing your PC way down

You could also try running sfc /scannow from the RUN box, or performing a 'repair' installation of XP. GoodLuck
