I have the same problem. XP pro freezes on the blue welcome screen & I have to press control / Alt / Delete to continue. My computer also freezes randomly in Internet explorer. It also doesn't fully bring up java applet windows superimposing windows together, finally freezing. I then have to use task manager to shut down explorer & start again. I have reinstalled Java VM again. I have also tried to reload XP pro & restore points. Can any one help ....please

We need to know more about your system to be helpful. However, problems that you describe are generally due to hardware incompatibility, insufficient RAM, hardware driver incompatibilities, or CPU overheating. Sorry I can't be more specific but again, you have not furnished sufficient info about your system.
