I know some may hav eignored this thread as it is a something that is appearing to sound very common on forums however mine is a little different.
The problem is similar in that my computer freezes on the XP welcome screen but i have a further problem. As anyone else would have done so I attempted to boot the computer in Safe Mode but this is where the difference is. I end up experiencing the Blue Screen of Death in Safe Mode. I never knew you could experience the BSOD in Safe Mode.
So now some backgrounbd info which lead to the initial freezing problem.
Initially what happened was, I was using my computer finishing off a project for my client until i recieved a little yellow pop up near the XP toolbar clock (bottom right hand corner). This pop up is similar to when you plug in a device and the computer prompts you of a new device being detected. Nevertheless the pop up was informing me I have lots of spywhere. I ignored but it didnt go away. So what i did was close the pop up which lead to another pop up with photos of two non nude girls which again i closed. Then I receoive another pop up acting as though its scanning my computer. When I closed this, my computer slowed down dramatically. I tried running Spybot and Adaware but they wouldnt run sufficiently. I decided to Shut down the pc and restart however when i did reboot it kept freezing on the welcome screen.
I then attempted to reboot in safe mode but as soon as the comp attempts to bring up the desktop in safe mode i experience the blue screen of death. What can i do?
The BSOD is too quick for me to get the error code and when i try doing anything when the computer freezes it is pointless as the keyboard doesnt do anything.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Cheers

You seem to have the Messenger problem that keeps getting you spam noo-stop as pop-ups(not related at all to MSN Messenger).Once you complete a Windows XP setup and plan going on the Web you should first stop The Messenger by following above instructions described in details for all Windows systems. The program Shoot the Messenger(only 22 KB) by Steve Gibson can help you do the same without exploring the Windows system Control panel.Find it from:
