I have researched this problem extensively to no avail. When faxing with XP fax the calling card information is completely ignored. This is similar to the problem that occurred with 2000 and was addressed by Microsoft(Q239888). The fix advised to go into fax services and change the logon information from system to the appropriate user. This worked fine in 2000 but it disables the fax in XP. Has anyone had success faxing using the calling card rules in XP?

I have the same problem, because my phone has no long distance service. I use a card.
I could not solve it via microsoft's suggestions.
But there is a simple and practical way.
1. Disable the modems need to wait for dial tone (I hope you have dsl or cable).
2. Prepare the document to be faxed by opening the software, in my case, paperport.
Which links with the Fax Wizard of microsoft.3. Before pressing finish, enter the access number of the card account, pause, account number, pause, pin number, wait for dial instructions,,,, then press Finish...
4. Fax away.......

With regard to step 3:
when I mentione enter, I meant dial the access number,,,,, account number,,,,, pin number,,,,,wait for dial instructions,,,,,then press finish button of the fax wizard......
4. fax away
