Comment:

This PC seems to slow down explorer when searching on the LAN. This only happens when one of the mapped drives (another PC on the LAN) is switched off. This really has me stumped!! no idea where to start. As soon as the mapped PC is switched on the problem goes. Am I missing something in the settings???

Disconnect the network drive???

Don't include the switched off drive in the search??

Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down.
Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.
