Are you receiving the error at random or when trying to access a specific web site?

If you copy and paste the url below into your browser (remove the + +)can you see the image and is the image something you have posted previously?

LL, the two image links posted are screen shots of the error he's getting. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to deal with these errors. Hunter, have you gone to the MS Web site shown to see what it tells you?

Sorry for the earlier confusion on my part.
Are you running sp1 or sp2? If not, the Microsoft generic fix is to update to the next sp. If you are running sp2, I'd opt for running sfc /scannow in the run box, then pay a visit to ms updates.

Assuming you have a Win XP CD, I'd run the sfc /scannow command I alluded to previously. Then be sure to visit MS Updates as the scannow command will set some things back to as was when first installed. No loss of data will occur. If your cd is not inclusive of sp2, you can slipstream a copy to include it and updates.

It would have been best to post all errors within the first post.

ATI2CQAG.DLL belongs to ATI, I assume you have an ati graphics card.

VSDATANT.SYS belongs to ZoneAlarm.

You should run some virus and spyware scans regardless of whether you have an up to date AV on your computer.

Free Scans:
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie...
http://www.windowsecurity.com/troja...
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Sear...

If you don't have an up to date AV try the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-a...

If the problem persists, uninstall reinstall ZoneAlarm and ATI drivers. See how the system runs without ZoneAlarm but don't leave your pc without a firewall for very long.

"I updated my ati driver and uninstall zonealarm, now i need firewall, is sygate firewall good?"

I believe Sygate is free to try and $40 to buy. I'm not a ZoneAlarm fan because I see on many forums that ZA causes an array of problems for many. I'd give Comodo Firewall –‘Free’a try; I've been running it for several months and Comodo doesn't seem to bog the system down.

*Did the re-install of ati drivers and removal of ZA cure your pc problems?

That error would suggest a driver issue. Is there any other information from the error you can post here as that give us a better understanding of what is causing the error.

Also the error may have produced a 'dump file'. Here is some info on finding a dump file http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316450
If you could zip and send me the error, I'll try to make some sense if it (check your PM for an email addy).

From your dump file, it looks like you are running AVG anti-virus and that is the cause of the error. If you haven't already, run the scan I suggested earlier to be sure a virus isn't causing problems:
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie...

Then uninstall/re-install AVG; or use Avast after removing AVG. I prefer Avast over AVG as far as free av's go... 'others may disagree.

I'm still thinking avg remnants are causing you some trouble or a driver conflict. There's also some info that p2p programs can cause this; are you running any p2p's? If so, try removing them.

Are there any conflicts in the Device Manager?

Did you run the sfc /scannow utility I suggested in a previous post?

If no luck continue:

Go to Windows Explorer and remove the avg folder. Create a Restore Point - Download and install RegCleaner - open the cleaner - the default view of RegCleaner lists all programs installed to the registry - put a check in the avg entries then click 'Remove Selected'- keep RegCleaner open,go to Tools - Registry cleanup - Do them all - when the scan finishes select all items (there will be many) and remove them.

"What causes win32k.sys error?"

That is the twenty-thousand dollar question. Many things can cause that error; diagnosing the dump file and or the Event Viewer can give a clue as to what caused the problem. As you have experienced, once a problem occurs, it’s like a cancer and many things can go bad.

"i did the cleaning. And there were minors virus remove."

Enough said. Hopefully we can get everything in order and prevention is the best cure; firewall and Nod32 have you on your way.

*very important.
Be sure to visit Microsoft Updates after you run the sfc /scannow.
