Comment:

I just reloaded XP onto my computer and each time I boot it asks me which user account I want to use...but I only have mine (it shows "user" as a default second account). How do I get it to stop this?

Thanx in advance

Both are already selected...? Do you mean unselect...because both are checked and yet it prompts me to choose between the real account and the default?

Thanx

Perhaps going and deleting the "user" account? Would that skip the choosing my account step in the welcome screen?

Thanx

Click start>run and paste
control userpasswords2
into the run box. Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

Hope this helps,
