I've had a Linux/XP dual boot system for a while now. Recently when the power cut off XP while in normal operation and I restarted my PC, I was able to get to the dual boot screen but then when I choose XP, the screen just goes blank and PC activity stops. So I reformatted and re-installed XP and SuSE linux and it seemed to work fine. After installing a few programs on XP, the shutdown and restart functions would not work so I had to manually cut it off and then the same problem with the blank screen happened again! I can get into safe mode on the restart right after the blank screen but I don't know how that can help. Restore point worked the first time but hasn't since. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try any other dual booting software. I have not tried any, but know that there are a few such as OS Loader and Partition Magic etc. May be you can give it a try.
