my xp drops my internet connection when i leave my computer on overnite, and i have to restart to reconnect. not a major problem since i dont try to download huge files very often. i had this problem with att cable modem service. recently i switched to ameritech.net adsl and get the same thing. my xp refuses to stay connected for more than half a day or so without restarting. im using a linksys 4 port router connected to 2 computers. i dont notice the problem on my windows 98 computer. is this normal? any advice would be appreciated :)

just to say you are not alone, I had Blueyonder Broadband installed since xmas, ever since i have had random disconnections, even midstream through a download , this is defenitely an XP issue as everything else on my pc the same apart from Win Me on a second drive , my connection goes for days without a problem, i am currently still investigating the problem and will post anything here when I find it out ,Good luck
