I've never heard of drivers for speakers, just the sound card running them.

you dont need drivers for speakers. if they are not working id check to see if the sound works and if the speakers are operating correctly.

i stole this from aanother post.......
The speakers are designed to work as SPEAKERS. You don't need software for home speakers do you?
The USB and Software is for the volume interface. Altec does not support past win 98. You can still do all functionality through the buttons on the speakers. 1. unplug the USB cable 2. TO change from stereo to Dolby Pro logic Press and hold the CENTER button for 3 seconds you will see the light on front change from amber to green. 3. to control the sub press the sub button and turn the big volume knob. 4. ditto for the center and surround speakers.
Other wise check out the plus pak for XP from MS. They have speaker profiles, whatever that means for the ada-305/acs 495.
AGAIN, THE ONLY REASON FOR THE SOFTWARE AND USB CONNECTION WAS FOR THE FANCY VOLUME CONTROL INTERFACE. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE SPEAKERS EXCEPT FOR VOLUME CONTROL.

Thanks, I knew that I could use all of funtions via the buttons on top, but I liked that GUI interface...
Summary: You need a driver for your sound card, not your speakers. Check your Email. I am sending you a program that will tell you your sound card info. ...
