After I upgraded my Windows ME to Windows XP, my computer can't detect my CD-RW! It was working fine with ME until I upgraded it to XP. The cd-rw is not even on the device manager list, it's like it just disappeared. I tried the windows xp help thing which involves using the registry to edit the upper filters and the lower filters, but still nothing. I can open the CD-RW drive and the light blinks, but it doesn't detect the CD. I don't know the name of the CD-RW either, it just says Compact Disc Recordable/rewritable. Please help! I'm kind of a novice at this!

I tried updating the ASPI drivers, but it still doesn't work! Please help, I want to use my CD-RW!

I just found out that my system BIOS doesn't boot up the *&%^ing CD-RW at the start of the computer!!! I see the DVD drive as the secondary master, but the secondary slave, which is suppose to be the CD-RW, shows as [none]!! What is wrong!! The CD-RW was working before i upgraded my cpu to Windows XP!! Oh, and I found out that the manufact. of my CD-RW is Samsung, product is Samsung CD-R/RW drive SW-208, but there were no drivers or updates or anything at the Samsung homepage. Well, help, PLEASE!
