XP DLL's corruption

CPU/Ram: p4-1.4 ghz

I am continually getting a blue screen and a message that one of my dll's is missing (i.e l_ntls.nls) or corrupt. I have re-installed xp about 4 times now - is this a hard drive problem - or a virus?

may be a virus just do a clean install of windows and thats it.
