xp disk read error occurred

this is on a close to new sata hd, i have a xp disc that is made specifically for my board, so that it can read sata drives with the sata drivers, i do not have a recover console on this disc, and i get a disc read error occurred after it finished copying files on the blue install screen, how do i fix this??

Will it start in Safemode? If you can get it started in Safemode then in Startup & Recovery section of System Properties uncheck the "Automatically restart" button so you get to see the BSOD error message.
Since you have done a format and clean instal you have nothing left to lose. Download a harddrive diagnostic tool from the drive manufacturer and check your drive integrity.
Also download and run Memtest86 from a bootable floppy or CD and verify you don't have any ram errors. Check system health in BIOS.

ok, as i said before this is a sata drive running as sata, so when i loaded the sata drivers, it ran the setup fine and saw the harddrive, but when it tried to load windows it acted as if the drivers where never installed and gave me the bsod as a result, so i put the bios back in ide sata compatibility mode and it booted, i want the sata drivers for this to work, there from the company for this exact board, my HD is running at less than half speed cuz of it.
