XP Direct Cable Connection

CPU/Ram: 640 pc2100

I have XP pro and am trying to set up a DCC. In the "Create a New Connection" window I select to set up an advanced connection. After that it wont let me select "Connect Directly to Another Computer". XP help says I have to log in as adminstrator, but i have administrator privileges. Any suggestions?

What is the operating system of the computer you are trying to connect to? Are you using a lap link cable?

I managed to link XP home to a win98 machine although it was a bit of a pain.

i got it working =] I brought all the XP services back to default, i changed it when i first got comp for optimal performance, thanks anyways! =]
