Comment:

My XP crashed couple days ago, on reboot it ran theough the disk scan and had to do allot of recovering.
THe welcome screen comes up with the two users (Troy & Cari) click mine(Troy)and it opens as if it was the first boot of XP. None of my stuff is there, desktop icons gone, My documents gone.
After looking a little more I fine in the Windows explorer C:doucuments and settings that there is my old settings (profile?) with everything there. There is a new setting in there called Troy.INGA (the computers name is INGA) and this Troy.INGA is what my system opens to now after the crash.
Can I get it back to the old settings so I can get rid of this Troy.INGA

Use System Restore. Go back to a date when the machine worked fine.
