Reply: (edit)monkeman42, There is no way to scan the Product Key off of the CD. bluzeboy's link would help if the Windows XP Program is on the hard drive. If you have a legal copy of Windows XP the only alternative would be to contact Microsoft and explain what happened and maybe they'll give you a new Product Key but they probably have heard the same problem many times. Reply: (edit)AIDA32. Do a search, download and install. It will tell you the CD key used to install XP on that machine.
