I mount my desktop hard disk drives on HDD cartridges. As I test my home pc's (different cpu, memory, screen, video cards), I move the cartridge from pc to pc. In earlier Win 9x operating systems, the Windows 9x would allow my to change the settings in safe mode. All the drivers are on the hdd. And after a few boots, I could use the hdd cartridge in the different pc.
But can I do this in XP? My main pc for the moment is a powerful, large "notebook" pc. But I want to have a simultaneous replica of the notebook pc (backup, etc) on a desktop unit.
