I have an older 10gb seagate drive where xp is installed. But I have also an 120gb SATA seagate drive which I cannot find in xp. The BIOS finds it during startup, named as secondary channel. The funny thing is that is not found in the BIOS setup when I try to autodetect. Motherboard is asus g8x deluxe. How can I locate this hd??

Thank you dan, but unfortunately this didn't work either. Disk management in xp could not initialize my disk. I've checked all the cables and connections. I've also checked that it spins. Seagates diskwizard can't locate the disk either, but seatools found it, so I've run several diskchecks that concludes the disk is ok. But seatools don't help me much when I return to xp. Any idea what the problem can be??
