You might need to reset your time zone in the date and time section int the control panel.

If you have the Microsoft installation disc...not a manufacturer's restore disc.

start > run and type:

sfc /scannow

insert the disc and hit enter and your system files will be reset to what they should be. Take a bit of time..

make sure you disable the windows time service in xomp mng. this shouldnt affect you if you arent on a NW but, I've seen it do odd things. Probably a time zone thing. Are you in the admin group?

Street1, I've try you you proposed. The time and wallpaper seems to be fixed. But The start toolbar is still not working. It would show a XP Start button (green and blue) but when you click start it would bring a windows classic menu.

*Classic windows theme is what i want.

Please investigate, thx.

Lurkswithin, I've also tried what you said, but it didn't do anything. Is there any other way to fix this.

When you go to start under windows classic. You have Set Program Access and Defaults.Put that on custom then reboot then right click on start and choose properties and apply classic start menu.
