Specs: Windows XP
i'm using XP Pro SP3, I can't shutdown, restart or log off from Start Menu, it seems like nothing happend when I try to shutdown.

I've to shutdown thru "log off user", "switch user", "Turn off computer", a msg appear : "other people are logged on to this computer, shuting down might cause them to lose data...." click "yes" then I'm managed to shutdown the PC.

Why? Please help. Thanks.

ekang, can't explain it, but may know a good workaround. FWIW, Windows seems to have been plagued with shutdown problems of one sort or another since day 1. I use a standalone shutdown proggie (for convenience) called 'Slawdog' (said to work on all versions). Get it free @:
among other places. Works good and I drag/dropped the icon into my quick launch so it'd be handy for use.
