Xp cannot boot with network cable on

I have the following problem . I have a home network with 7 pc's . All of them r connecting via router . I tried to start no1 pc with the network cable on but windows cannot start . freezes in the welcome screen . Then i unplug the network cable and windows starts normaly but when i plug the cable the pc freezes again .
I ve already done a clean install of windows xp but the problem still remain .

Any suggestions ?

maybe you have driver issue

go to start > run > devmgmt.msc > check for yellow markers and POST back
