Dell / Optiplex gx260

Specs: Windows XP SP3, 2.0 GHz
right. it loads the dell optiplex gx260 loading screen.
then goes to a safe mode/last known good confic/ restart windows normally screen
and no matter what i do it won't load. if i try to use last good setting/restart normally, it runs for about a bar and a half on the loading screen then restarts
if i use any form of safe mode it loads some of the settings then comes up with a message saying to press f2 to continue loading ntfs or something like that
i will add more tomorrow after i have checked out the problems.
i'll also be able to add anything you may need to know.
oh, and i'm not exactly a genius on computers, what i know how to do i learnt through scouring all the settings on an old old computer (on win 2k) and learning what everything did. so if there is a process i need to follow, could you giva a basic tutorial or a link or something please?

oh, i don't have a boot disc as the computer was given to me by my brother

Borrow any similar xp cd to use to perform "repair" features. Just don't install with it. I think you have to select the install at one menu but next go to the repair.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
