i had 1 20gig harddrive for a couple of years then i dicided to install another 20 gig damaged harddrive, the fault wih it is that for some reason the formatting freezes while installing windows. i had 2 hd for a week then something happened to my working harddrive, for some reason when windows xp boots and getts to the loading (the black sceen with no logo just the grey mter trying to fillup), it takes for ever, more dan 10 mnutes. So then i thought it was the computers fault and reinstalled windows it still happened, den i installed linux and booting was ast, den i swiched back to win XP it was still slow. I bought a 160 harddrive and am worring if this one will also get damaged, i removed both hardrivs an now only have the 160 gig harddrive

No. You should fine. A 20 gig hard for Win XP is a bit small- XP takes like 9gig or something. And you previous hard drive was few years old anyways. Your new 160 beast should be fine.
