Hello all muti-boot friends, can u offer advice on my little problem :)
My System Configuration:
K6-2 350 MHz, 192 RAM, first drive 80G partitioned as
1 Win98 4G primary - for internet
2.Win98 4G primary - for audiovideo
3.Win98 4G primary - for games & others
4.Data 62G logicalSecond Drive is 8G
I am using Partition Magic 7 and it suggested that I can only install the following OS onto drive 2 - NT/Win2000/XP/Linux , and not Win9x.
So I boot into Drive1 Partition 1 and install XP onto Drive2 from there.
The installation seems OK.
But rebooting produce this error message:STOP; c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.I,m lost.. what to do next?
Stan

What 'boot manager' were you using for 3 separate Win 98 systems?
Was that still 'installed' when you decided to upgrade disk 2 to Win XP.
How does PM allow for 3 Primary Partitions and 1 Logical on one physical device, yet at the same time suggest that you could not install 98 onto drive 2 where it was already resident?

Hi Brian, are u currently using Partition Magic.. I wonder?
I am using Bootmagic 6.
All my 3 (OS)primary partitions on Drive 1 are installed and in good order.
I can upgrade one of them to WinXP but I rather not disrupt the present arrangement which is the best I can think of, for my needs.
So I installed a clean copy of XP from Drive 1 Partition 1 (internet) onto a formatted Drive 2.Im sorry I used the wrong term, I meant diskdrive when I say drive1 or drive2.
Stan
