Recently booted into a blu screen, it deleted some files, too quich to see what they where, then re-booted as though I had just installed a fresh version of Windows. Have lost all links to `D` partition where programs are installed, also seems that I have lost my e-mails. When i start Incredimail it starts like a brand new install asking for all the server settings with no record of old e-mails or contacts.
What the HECK has happened and can I recover my `lost` data? HELP!!

All the installed programs are tied to the original install of WinXP. The emails are in the user profile on the original WinXP install too.
You would be better off to repair that installation, if it still exists. Did you install to a new folder or don't you know?

Just so you know any blue screens never delete files.
You would have missing files if you experienced disk corruption. Fact you are missing d: is a further indication of this.
First step should have been to boot into recovery console and run chkdsk /r to correct any disk errors.
Then you should boot regularly and logon as Administrator. Review the Documents and Settings folder for your original profile.
What you are describing is due to disk corruption you could not boot up under your regular profile. System saw you as a new user and created a new profile. You may see something like joeblow.000 as well as joeblow. Joeblow.000 is your new profile.
Lets get past the disk corruption before moving on to how to handle multiple profiles.
Example of Oxymoron:
Person who is pro life and anti sex education.
Education is key to prevention. Prevent conception you prevent abortion.Abstinence training clearly isn't working.
