memtest86 is a good ramtester. a quick search on google will find it. You can also disable the automatic restart in XP so that you can see the error messages or look in controlpanel eventviewer for details.

Hi,

I think I am having the smae problem...

I get the blue screen with an error then when I restart again, it gives me this error report: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini022504-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\BEN~1.BEN\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir02\sysdata.xml

I have a USB Speedtouch modem and that would sometimes startup automatically on restart which it is not meant to do..so reinstalled the new drivers...

Still no change....

Anyway, hope we can solve it :))

'nuff said.

get good quality memory for your system and get plenty of it! w/ xp, i would have no less than 384MB. for some reason that doesn't work, i would check for a bios update for your system board.
